Your first visit

What to expect, from the front door to the plan you leave with.

  • How long it takes

About an hour with a physical therapist. Come a few minutes early to sign in. Later visits vary.

  • What to wear and bring

Clothes you can move in, and shoes or boots you can walk in. Bring a photo ID, your plan or claim details, your adjuster's name and phone, any papers from your doctor and a short note on your job's tasks.

  • What happens

Your therapist asks about your job and your week, watches you move and examines the area. They explain what they find, what the choices are and any risks, and you agree on a plan together.

  • What is not decided on day one

We do not promise how long care will take or when you will go back to work. Your doctor decides about work limits. We may ask you to see a physician first if something needs a check.

  • Your language

Say whether you prefer English or Spanish when you book. Myrna, Adolfo, Dafne and Rosalba speak both.

You set the pace with us

We start where you are. If a movement is too much, say so, and your therapist changes it. The goal of the first visit is a plan you understand.
